The original house was built in the late 1500s by a family seeking refuge from Turkish-ruled Epirus. This family not only constructed the villa but also a small chapel just a few meters away—a tradition shared by many who found safety on Paxos. This rich cultural heritage contributes to the remarkable number of churches on the island, totaling 72.
The villa underwent meticulous renovation during 2019-2020, with great care taken to preserve its authenticity. The building retains its original dimensions, and every stone from the walls and pavements was thoughtfully restored to honor the family’s legacy and respect the local architecture.
